The friendly faces supporting your child’s journey

Leticia Tan

Director | Senior Speech Pathologist

Leticia started her Speech Pathology career working with the Department of Education at a Language Development Centre (LDC) supporting children diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorder. She then spent the last six years working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Intellectual Disability. Leticia has a range of experience providing Speech Pathology support encompassing speech, receptive and expressive language, literacy, social skills, and AAC. 

​

Leticia strongly believes that families know their child best, therefore implements family-centred practice in therapy to support the generalisation of skills across settings. Leticia’s goal is to provide every child with a voice to communicate effectively and functionally across all settings.  

​

Get to know Leticia: She loves spending time with her family (a baby, toddler and 2 furbabies), going on walks, trying new restaurants, and of course travelling!

Rachel
Van der Wacht

Director | Senior Occupational Therapist

Rachel started her Occupational Therapy career in 2017 and has worked amongst various areas of Occupational Therapy including rehabilitation and paediatrics. Rachel found her passion for working with children and has worked with children with a range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Development Delay and Intellectual Disability. 

 

Rachel enjoys working alongside families and children to assist with developing holistic goals and appropriate intervention programs for children to achieve their full potential in all their everyday roles across all environments.

 

Get to know Rachel: Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two pet dogs and traveling around WA. She enjoys being active and plays netball on the weekends.

Chanelle

Senior Occupational Therapist

Chanelle started her Occupational Therapy career working in the early intervention space, specifically supporting families and children with a range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Global Developmental Delay. Chanelle has since expanded her scope of practice and now works alongside children of school age to support them in working towards their goals. 

​

Chanelle enjoys working closely with families, children and key stakeholders within a child’s support team, such as their teacher, to ensure that children have access to support across their natural environments. Chanelle is passionate about supporting families to feel comfortable, confident and active participants in their child’s therapy journey. 

​

Get to know Chanelle: Outside of work Chanelle loves to spend time in the sunshine, going on long walks or camping trips. Chanelle is a people person and loves to spend time with her friends, family and mostly important – her pup!

Caitlin

Speech Pathologist

Caitlin began her Speech Pathology career at the end of 2012 and is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia.  

​

Caitlin has over 10 years experience working as a Speech Pathologist for children and young adults with diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Intellectual Disability.  

​

Caitlin has special interests working in speech sounds, literacy skills, expressive and receptive language development. Caitlin also has extensive skills working with children with picky eating, social skills and AAC. 

​

Get to know Caitlin: Caitlin is a mother of 2 young boys and understands how busy life with kids can be. When she's not working you can find her outdoors, usually at the beach, drinking coffee and spending time with her husband, two boys and of course her French Bulldog fur-baby! 

Rose

Occupational Therapist

Rose started her Occupational Therapy journey working at SPOTS WA, where she discovered her passion for supporting children to grow, thrive, and participate confidently in their everyday lives. She currently works in a community-based paediatrics role, supporting children across home, school, and community settings.  

​

She values building strong, trusting relationships with families and enjoys creating playful, individualised therapy approaches that are meaningful and practical. She values the flexibility of her work, often swapping a desk for a cosy corner in a local café (matcha in hand, of course!) between client visits.  

​

Get to know Rose: On weekends, she loves heading to the beach, spending time with friends and family, walking to her local cafe and travelling!

Sara

Speech Pathologist

Sara started her Speech Pathology career with the Department of Health, working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a community-based role. She supported children and families across various Child Development Centres (CDS) in Perth.

 

Sara has a range of experience, including supporting children with their speech sound development, expressive and receptive language, early intervention, and children diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorder,. She also has experience upskilling parents with practical strategies that they can use in everyday routines and working with families from different cultures and backgrounds.

 

She prides herself on recognising each child as a unique individual and understanding their interests, strengths and needs. She is passionate about helping children and families thrive by providing holistic, family-centred care and working closely with other team members.

 

Get to know Sara: Sara has a love for nature, particularly going for walks and swims at the beach, getting a matcha, exploring new countries and going to music events!

Chloe

Occupational Therapist Assistant

Chloe started her Therapy Assistant role at SPOTS WA, where she works alongside lead Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists to implement strategies and interventions aimed at achieving client goals. Chloe is currently studying Occupational Therapy and has developed a strong enthusiasm for her work in the paediatric setting. 

​

Chloe is passionate about working alongside families and her fellow therapists to provide a supportive team and environment for children to develop into their full potential.  

​

Get to know Chloe: Outside of work Chloe loves the outdoors, camping and the beach. Chloe loves spending time with friends and her pup Millie!
